About Us

The Association of Insurance Professionals (AIP) is one of the largest and most well attended Workers' Compensation Associations in the state of California. AIP averages 230 attendees at our bi-monthly luncheon meetings and 300 attendees at our special events. Our Association offers outstanding education including credits (BRN and WCCP) during our bi-monthly luncheon meetings. These meetings are designed to be a resource for workers' compensation claims professionals.
The Association of Insurance Professionals (AIP) was founded by Debra Hinz in December 2004 as she saw a need in the community for this type of education. Debra remained president until 2006 when Greg Turner ran the AIP through another successful year in 2006. Goss Lindsey followed as the president in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, Sara Mulick took over the president position and continued to lead the Association through 2011. Cathey Amberry became president in 2012 leading the AIP in another successful year of providing resources and education for the workers’ compensation community.
Our education is driven by local claims professionals who attend quarterly AIP Advisory Board meetings and we are run by volunteer Board Members. We welcome others in the community who want to become involved. If you are interested in becoming a part of what we do, please contact one of our Board Members.

Sincerely,

Cathey Amberry
2012 AIP President
